Position: European project officer

The European Cluster of Ceramics is a competitiveness cluster specialized in ceramics since 2005. Established in Limoges and Toulouse, we aim at promoting collaborative R&D projects by gathering companies, public research labs and academic institutions with a view to market new products and services. We are a team of 7 people working for our members (140) and focusing on 4 industries: Luxury, Health & Environment, Energy & Transport and Electronics & Photonics.


As part of our new 2019-2022 strategy, our cluster is involved in many European projects and is increasing its international network. Lately, we are working on the H2020 program more specifically the OITB (Open Innovation Test Bed) aimed at creating an innovative ecosystem in order to increase the use of advanced surface nanotechnologies in many industries. The objective of the OITB is to bring nanotechnologies from laboratory to prototypes in industrial environments. Through this mission, our cluster will have to ensure a technology watch but will also have a proactive commercial approach thanks to our network.

Your mission will be the following:

  • European project monitoring
  • Preparing standard reports in English
  • Be a part of meetings regarding the program face to face or remotely (35 partners from different countries involved)
  • Promote the OITB for our members
  • Monitoring nanotechnologies and their applications through our main industries
  • Take part in European business fairs or conventions (Germany, Italy, Spain, etc.) and get new connection through a successful networking
  • Support our members, especially SMEs, in finding new opportunities through the OITB


  • Master degree/PhD, the successful candidate will have a good knowledge and an interest in surface treatments and/or ceramics,
  • English spoken,
  • Ability to work efficiently independently and as part of a team,
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work on multiple projects/tasks simultaneously,
  • Strong communication skills and customer service,
  • Experience in project management,
  • Curious, enthusiasm and commitment to work in a small firm.

Terms and conditions of the position

This post is based in Limoges

  • You may be required to travel (6 to 8 times per year)
  • Full-time contract on a 12-month fixed-term contract
